Until now there has never been a simple solution for handling RED dailies, but ContentAgent takes what was once a laborious process and makes it ridiculously easy.
By utilizing v2.45's new r3d input node (included with the Platinum Image Sequence option) you can meet all of your dailies requirements, from transcoding through to delivery, in two simple steps:
Attach the transport drive containing the R3D files and either import the footage or link to them using the import tab.
Apply a workflow
In this example one workflow is generating uniquely watermarked MPEG2 files, authored with menus and slates and sent to a Rimage publisher for output to uniquely bar-coded DVDs.
In addition Avid DNxHD 36 MXF files are created and copied directly to the editorial SAN and rights protected WMV files are automatically emailed to a saved distribution list.
It's as simple as that. Dailies generation and delivery in a few clicks! The above output formats are merely examples - ContentAgent can transcode the R3D files to any of the extensive list of supported formats and can optionally output SDI video up to HD for capture to tape, as well.
