Simple, automated transcoding of R3D to all common file formats; DVD & Blu-Ray authoring and integrated Rimage disc publishing provide an end-to-end dailies solution for the RED camera
NAB 2009, Las Vegas, April 18
NAB 2009, Las Vegas, April 20… ROOT6 Technology will demonstrate an end-to-end automated digital dailies workflow for users of the RED ONE camera with ContentAgent, ROOT6 Technology’s universal content management, repurposing and distribution platform.
The dailies workflow may be fully automated and output options include ftp, email, web, RSS, HD tape and interactive DVD while the latest software release 2.5, now adds Blu-Ray disc authoring to the arsenal.
For interactive DVDs and Blu-Ray discs, workflows may easily be constructed to produce individually branded copies for the Director, DOP, Cameraman etc. Once created and saved, the automated workflow is infinitely repeatable by non-technical operators. Full integration with Rimage disc publishing completes the end-to-end automated process.
In Avid editorial environments, R3D files may be transcoded into DNX HD and exported directly into the Avid File Directory, complete with all associated R3D metadata considerably streamlining editorial workflow.
Commenting on the support for the RED ONE camera by ContentAgent, ROOT6 Technology’s MD Marcus Hume-Humphreys said, “The industry’s enthusiasm for RED ONE is entirely understandable; making the codec available on ContentAgent ensures that the dailies community will have ultimate flexibility to create and automate its workflow, producing cost effective deliverables at any required resolution.”
