NAB, Las Vegas, April 12 2010… MTI Film, a leading provider of high-quality image processing tools to the broadcast and post-production market, is to use ContentAgent from ROOT6 Technology to automate and streamline the digital deliverables workflow for a new facilities service slated to open in late April at 1016 N Sycamore Avenue in Hollywood, CA.

With budgets constantly reducing, the recognition that automation is the only way to manage any volume of file based deliverables is fast becoming clear. ContentAgent has developed expansive metadata organisational tools from years of experience with reality TV logging systems and internet asset management tools previously developed by ROOT6 Technology. ContentAgent takes advantage of this knowledge enabling metadata to play a key role in defining and directing workflows.

NAB sees the launch of new v3.0 software for ContentAgent, a major new release that considerably extends the system’s established automation and management capabilities with the integration of third party expertise from industry leaders Tektronix, Telestream and Rimage. v3.0 software also delivers the benefits of parallel processing – important in transcode-intensive environments . A new Jobs tab in the familiar UI provides the tools to intelligently manage and distribute rendering across JobAgents - affordable render accelerators.
