Building on the internationally successful ContentAgent universal file repurposing and management platform, ROOT6 Technology in combination with Isilon demonstrated a powerful and scalable solution for larger scale intensive transcode environments.
ContentAgent V.3 software introduces the benefits of parallel processing with ContentCentral and JobAgents. ContentCentral is a job distribution server with cluster management to intelligently manage and distribute rendering across JobAgents - affordable render accelerators running on Isilon clustered storage.
The combination of ContentCentral and JobAgents will enable users with multiple systems to input new transcoding workflows which will then be automatically allocated to individual JobAgent processors across the clustered units. Scalable as requirements change, further JobAgents may be added at will to increase performance and spread workload.
A new Silverlight remote browser enables users with Internet access to monitor and control all operations.
The latest software introduces interoperability with other technologies through Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) Accordingly, automated QC is now available for files using the world-leading Cerify system from Tektronix. And for those using the Mac Pro-Res format, full integration with Telestream’s Episode Engine make ContentAgent the first O/S agnostic transcoding platform available.
