Originally founded in 1915 in New Jersey as part of the Fox Film Corporation Deluxe has enjoyed a distinguished history. Its original processing and printing operations have evolved as the world has embraced digital technology and today the company is an industry leader in the provision of digital workflows from HD telecine dailies through video mastering. Deluxe Digital Studios creates content for worldwide audiences in DVD and Blu-ray releases and international dubbing for theatrical release, broadcast, and home video. Deluxe is currently using ContentAgent systems at facilities in Burbank, Santa Monica and London.
Ben Davitt Senior Manager in Deluxe’s International Dubbing and Audio Division has been a fan of the ContentAgent for quite a while. Primarily he uses the system’s ubiquitous transcoding capabilities but also makes use of integral DVD authoring and output via email and ftp.
For Ben, the workflow creation tools rock. “The greatest part of the box is the creation of workflows. We have been able to automate so many different kinds of workflows which always saves our customers time. We can capture and then transcode into multiple file flavours in one hit. We have a lot of clients both internal and external that require different flavours of files. It’s a huge time-saver being able to capture all the flavours at one time instead of running the tape over and over into different capture machines.
“Once I setup the specific workflow I can trust that it will work and be error free every time. I could not say this for other systems I’ve used. ROOT6 has listened to its customers over the years and taken the suggestions on board, incorporating them into future releases.”
