The collaboration between ROOT6 Technology and Rimage, announced at IBC is now bearing fruit. The first UK installation of ContentAgent integrated with Rimage DVD mass duplication and printing is now up and running in the Media Services Department of Young & Rubicam Advertising (Y&R), one of the world's largest consumer advertising agencies.
Y&R has been using ContentAgent for general-purpose transcoding and DVD authoring in its Avid-based Media Services facility for more than three years. Recently the company acquired the latest v2.4.5 software which enables the content repurposing platform to be fully integrated with Rimage’s leading digital publishing solution.
Lesley de Lisle, video editor at Y&R has already completed three major jobs involving mass DVD duplication and printing for one of the agency’s clients, a major high street retailer. “Almost every month the client provides a new food ad to just over 100 stores on DVD. Following editing and finishing we use ContentAgent to automate the transcoding and DVD production. As the Rimage printing and duplication commands are integrated within ContentAgent’s easy-to-use interface, the process is extremely straightforward.”
Currently Y&R is using a duplicator enabling the production of 50 DVDs simultaneously though this may be expanded at will. “The results are brilliant,” confirms de Lisle. “The printed DVDs look beautiful and the time-saving is proving invaluable.”
